ACE is npm for agentic coding environments.
An open, Git-native package ecosystem for reproducible orchestrator-driven agentic coding environments. An ACE package describes the environment — orchestrator, workers, tools, models, policies, memory, lifecycle — not application source. Git remains the source of truth; the registry indexes specifications.

Git-native install works without a registry. Git remains the source of truth; the registry only indexes specifications.
npm install -g ace ace install @ace/fullstack ace run ace status
Published to npm when ACE ships 1.0; until then the quick start above is what runs today.

ACE is an MVP (phases 1–6), MIT-style free, zero runtime dependencies. The environment you just watched is the environment you get: orchestrator, workers, tools, models, policies, memory, lifecycle, described in one manifest, locked by hash, restored anywhere.
